Privacy Policy
This is a plain-English summary of how Build a Village handles your data during our early release.
What we collect
Your name and email address, your family profile (parent first names, children's approximate ages and optional nicknames, interests, household type, approximate location, availability and what you're looking for), your introductions, your messages and any reports you make.
How we use it
To match your family with compatible local families, to deliver messages between matched families, and to keep the community safe.
What other families see
Before you accept an introduction, another family sees only a limited view: first names, children's approximate ages, shared interests, an approximate distance and your general availability. Email addresses, phone numbers, exact addresses, children's surnames and exact dates of birth are never shown.
Children's data
Children do not have accounts. We deliberately store the minimum: an approximate age and an optional nickname, entered by a parent.
Deleting your data
You can delete your family profile from your profile settings at any time. Deleting your profile removes your family details and closes your introductions.
